Legacies of Service: History

Legacies of Service began when our founder, Alex Beckstrand, researched his own family.  He realized that many of the notions people have about their loved one's service may not be all that they seem, as was the case with his grandfather's time during World War II.

As he started additional research on behalf of his wife's family, he discovered that other people just simply do not know what their loved one did as part of their wartime experiences.  Alex used his own military expertise, gained from his time in the military, and his historical prowess to navigate archives and put information into historical context.  It dawned on him that he was uniquely qualified to go above and beyond the typical services provided by independent researchers.

That is exactly what he decided to do: to start his own business and provide a personalized experience, to include written products with images and documents specific to their clients, all put into the proper historical context.  Armed with expert qualifications and an unending passion, this business seeks to properly honor your family's legacy of service.
